Canada’s 15 Most Disappointing Tourist Attractions

Millions of people visit Canada each year to see some of its amazing sights. However, not every tourist attraction is worth visiting. Many disappoint tourists for various reasons. The ubiquity of visitor reviews has allowed people to learn beforehand which sights might disappoint them.

The most disappointing attractions have a high percentage of bad reviews versus good reviews. According to Preply, these are the most disappointing tourist attractions in Canada.

A full 55.36% of the reviews for this attraction are about the reviewers’ disappointment. According to reviews, this attraction is sad and outdated. The attraction has marine animals and an amusement park, but more people are disappointed than glad they went.

La Ronde, Montreal

This is the biggest amusement park in Quebec, but it’s a little too popular for its good. With 51.86% negative reviews, many people don’t like the long wait times for the rides and attractions.

Chinatown, Victoria

The Chinatown area of Victoria doesn’t have a lot to do, and it’s pretty small. This has left a lot of tourists disappointed after they’ve visited. Among the reviews, 37.88% are negative.

With the Canadian Rockies all around it, it’s a beautiful place to visit. This outdoor attraction, however, is overly time-consuming and takes too long to experience. It has a negative review percentage of 37.39%.

Olympic Park, Montreal

This is another disappointing attraction in Montreal. It’s leftover from the 1976 Olympic games, and it’s worn out and seemingly always under construction. A full 30.80% of the reviews for the park are from disappointed reviewers.

There’s not much to see in this garden. It’s got some interesting plants, but it’s very touristy. Among those who visit it, 29.15% of the reviewers are disappointed in the site.

Ontario Science Centre, Toronto

This is an aging structure that is focused mostly on kids. It’s not that interesting to a wide range of people who find it boring. About 28.35% of reviewers were disappointed after visiting it.

Canada’s Wonderland, Vaughan

With this name, it sounds like a place of fun and wonder. But for 28.18% of the reviewers, it was just a disappointment. Many people have found it to be too crowded and the wait times far too long.

Almost a quarter of the reviewers who visited this site, 23.16%, weren’t happy with their experience. The thermal springs aren’t all that interesting, though it does have a nice view.

Montreal Biodome, Montreal

This attraction lets people walk through different ecosystems that are present in the Americas. If that doesn’t sound like a great time, you might agree with the 21.86% of reviewers who were disappointed by it.

Kensington Market, Toronto

This is a neighborhood with plenty of trendy, hipster things to see and do. For some people, it’s entertaining to see the little shops. But for 21.82% of the reviewers, this isn’t their scene.

Calgary Tower, Calgary

This is a tall tower in the middle of Calgary that offers some great views of the city. But, that’s about it. And, you’ll have to compete with other tourists to see those views. Among reviewers, 21.30% found it lacking.

Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls

This is a tower near the falls that offers a nice view of the area. However, the tower is highly touristy, and it’s aging. It has a fairly expensive restaurant. About 20.73% of reviews of it are negative.

Toronto Zoo, Toronto

Toronto Zoo is both huge and crowded. It’s a touristy site that always has plenty of people. And with the enormous size of this zoo, you’ll be walking all day. Reviews of this zoo are 19.88% negative.

Caesars Windsor Casino, Windsor

This casino isn’t much to look at, and it seems pretty outdated. However, it’s fairly inexpensive to spend time in. People who have visited have written negative reviews 19.48% of the time.

Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada border makes a lot of lists of the most beautiful places in America.
