The first thing I need to say is that I have a mango tree in my backyard. This means that I am constantly trying to find yummy things to make with mangos, besides eating them fresh (which is delicious).
One hot afternoon, we all desperately needed a light and refreshing drink that would cool us down. This mango slushy is the perfect drink to sip on a cold day.

This is a super simple drink that you can easily whip together.
Mango Slushy
To make the mango slushy, start with ripe, juicy mangos. Fresh is obviously best, but you can use frozen if you need. Three large ones should be the right amount.

Peel the mangoes, remove the pits, and cut the flesh into chunks.
Place the mango pieces in a blender. (Please excuse the non-aesthetic cheap blender- any brands want to sponsor me?!?)

Add one cup of chilled seltzer water to give the drink a light, fizzy texture, and one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lime juice to cut the sweetness.
Add four cups of ice—crushed if possible, as it blends more easily, but you can do larger chunks if you have a better blender.
Blend everything on high speed for 30 to 45 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and frothy.
Taste and adjust the lime juice if desired, then pour into glasses and serve immediately.
For a finishing touch, garnish with a slice of lime or a sprig of fresh mint.

Doesn’t that look delicious?!?
