Air fryers are still one of the most popular and sought-after tools to have in your kitchen arsenal. But what if we told you there are even more reasons to love yours? Here are five other ways to use your air fryer that you might not have thought of before.

Bring Leftovers Back to Life

Have you ever reheated leftover pizza in the microwave and found the soggy crust disappointing? Your air fryer is the ultimate solution to this common problem. By using the air fryer to reheat leftovers, you can maintain the original texture and flavor of your food. The hot, circulating air heats your food evenly and keeps it crispy. Next time you have leftover pizza, fried chicken, or even French fries (easily the most challenging leftover to get reheated right), pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes.

Use It as a Mini Convection Oven

Your air fryer is surprisingly perfect for baking small batches of cookies, muffins, or even cakes without having to preheat a large oven. This is especially useful if you’re only cooking for one or two people. We’re not the only ones who’ve craved only a few chocolate chip cookies (don’t want to keep too many in the house!). And now, with clever use of your air fryer, you can have small batches of delicious baked goods in no time.

Dehydrate Fruits and Veggies

Most of us are making incredible batches of fries in our air fryers, but what if you could use it to make something healthy to have on hand? Many air fryers have a dehydrate function. If yours doesn’t, don’t despair; you can still get great results. Just set a low temperature and extend the cooking time. Dehydrated apple slices, banana chips, and even veggie chips can make for nutritious and tasty snacks. It’s a great way to preserve seasonal produce and reduce food waste, too.

Cook Frozen Foods Better Than Ever Before

We’ve all been there: you’re in a rush and need to cook a meal quickly. Frozen foods can be a lifesaver in such situations, but they often end up unevenly cooked or soggy when prepared in the microwave. The air fryer is a game changer for cooking frozen foods. Whether it’s frozen French fries, chicken nuggets, or even fish sticks, the air fryer ensures they come out crispy and delicious. Simply adjust the cooking time based on the size and type of food, and you’ll have a meal that tastes like it was made from scratch.

Experiment!

The world of air fryer-based recipes is alive and well, with unique recipes that you can’t make as well without one of these machines. Trying different recipes will expand your cooking skills. It will also help you make the most of this versatile appliance.

There are countless air fryer recipe books and online resources available to inspire you. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and get creative—even avocado fries are on the table when cooking with an air fryer!
