6 Reasons You Should Probably Get an Air Fryer

Okay, we get it—the air fryer is one of the most revolutionary things you can have in a kitchen.

But what’s all the fuss behind this piece of kitchen equipment?

Here are six reasons that make it pretty clear why the air fryer is taking the world of cooking at home by storm.

Delightful, Crispy Food Without the Extra Grease

An air fryer uses hot air circulation to give your food that golden, crunchy texture we crave, using up to 80% less fat than traditional frying methods. So, you can indulge in your guilty pleasures with a little less guilt. Want to make crispy Brussels sprouts? Go for it! How about some sweet potato fries? Yep, and as a bonus, they (probably) won’t be very soggy! There’s no fussing around with a bunch of oil or worrying about what to do with the grease—there’s just delicious, crunchy, and guilt-free food favorites on the table in no time.

Easy Cleanup

If you’ve ever fried anything, you know that the aftermath can be a horror show. Oil splatters everywhere, greasy pots and pans that seem to require a degree in chemistry to clean, and the lingering smell of fried food that takes days to dissipate. But it’s nowhere near as dramatic with an air fryer. Most air fryer baskets are dishwasher safe, and even if you wash them by hand, a quick scrub with soap and water will do the trick. Plus, since there’s minimal oil involved, you won’t have to deal with that greasy residue.

Incredible Versatility

Air fryers are more than just for frying! Most models also have roast, bake, grill, and reheat options all built into one easy-to-use appliance. No matter what you’re trying to make, there’s a good chance that your air fryer could come into play at some point in the cooking process. So while it’s a fantastic asset for those of you who love French fries, it’s equally appealing to those of you who want to…reheat French fries? You get the idea.

Faster Cooking Times

If you’re anything like me, you want your food fast but don’t want to compromise on flavor. Air fryers cook food incredibly quickly, thanks to their efficient hot air circulation. Say goodbye to preheating your oven for ages or waiting for the oil to heat up. Most air fryer recipes take less time than their oven-baked counterparts, meaning you can go from “I’m starving” to “Dinner is served” in a flash.

Healthier Food for the Whole Family

If you’re on a health kick or trying to feed your family healthier meals, an air fryer can be a game-changer. You can prepare all the family favorites in a healthier way without sacrificing taste. Most people would assume that fried chicken wouldn’t come near a menu if you were trying to eat healthier. But air-fried chicken doesn’t require any of the extra grease, giving you an opportunity to have your chicken and eat it, too.

You’re tired of hearing your friends gloat about how nice it is to have an air fryer, and frankly, so are we. That’s why we’re ending our reasons with this one: you can finally be free of people telling you how wonderful an air fryer is and just experience it for yourself!
