I love trying new foods from different countries and cultures. Taiwanese cuisine has many variations, and obviously, not all food that we call “Taiwanese” is authentic and has been subject to colonization and assimilation, so please excuse any errors in our list!
At The Passport Kitchen, I like to take trips around the world in my kitchen. We’ve tried so many different types of cuisines (French desserts, Chinese Food, Mediterranean Diet Snacks, Asian soups, and Australian cuisine, to name a few), and now it’s time to move to Taiwan.
Enjoy this culinary trip to Taiwan!
Mongolian Beef

Mongolia is not the same as Taiwan, but Mongolian beef was created in Taiwan by Chinese immigrants, so I included it in this list.
Made with thinly sliced marinated flank steak coated in a ridiculously delicious sweet and savory garlic and brown sugar stir-fry sauce. Inspired by P.F. Changs Mongolian beef recipe, this recipe is every bit as amazing and cooks in just 15 minutes!
