Our culinary tour around the world is moving onto Sichuan.

At The Passport Kitchen, I like to take trips around the world in my kitchen. We’ve tried so many different types of cuisines (French desserts, Chinese Food, Mediterranean Diet Snacks, Asian soups, and Australian cuisine, to name a few) and now we’re on to the next.

Sichuan cuisine comes from Sichuan Province in southwestern China, a region known for its humid climate, bold spices, and love of heat. It’s one of the Eight Great Traditions of Chinese cuisine—and arguably the most adventurous when it comes to flavor.
