There are so many different components that one could search for in food. There are micronutrients, such as all the essential vitamins and minerals, and then there are also macros. Of the macros, there are fats, protein, and carbohydrates.

Protein is an essential macro as it supports the building and repairing of muscles and other bodily tissues.
